3 Meqabyan — Chapter 8

1 [1] Job believed in the Lord; because he did not neglect to praise his Creator, the Lord saved him from all the tribulation that the enemy of Adam's children, the Devil, brought upon him. He said, "The Lord gave, the Lord withheld; it happened as the Lord desired for me; let the Name of the Lord be praised by all on Earth and in Heaven." Because he did not let his mind be saddened, the Lord saved him. [2] When the Lord saw that Job’s heart was cleansed from sin, He received him with great honor. [3] And He gave him wealth that abounded more than his previous wealth, because he had completely endured his tribulation.
2 He cured him of his wounds because of his endurance through all the trials that came upon him. [4] And if you, like him, endure the tribulation coming from the demons sent against you, you will be admired. [5] Endure the tribulation so that the Lord might be a fortress of refuge for you against those who hate you, and that He might be a fortress of refuge for your children's children and those after you. Do not let your minds be saddened by the trials that come upon you; believe in Him, and He shall be your fortress. [6] Beg Him, and He will hear you.
3 Have hope, and He will forgive you. Beg Him, and He will be a Father to you. [7] Think of Mordecai and Esther, Judith and Gideon, Deborah and Barak, Jephthah and Samson... [8] ...and other persons like them who were disciplined to believe in the Lord and whose enemies did not defeat them. [9] For the Lord is True, and He does not show favoritism.
4 But those who love to commit sin against themselves receive hardship. All who fear Him and keep His Law shall preserve their bodies, and He shall give them love and honor. [10] He shall make them joyful in their going out and their coming in, in their life and their death, and in their rising and sitting.
5 For He saves, and He sets apart. [11] For He brings sadness, and He brings pardon. [12] He makes poor, and He honors; He makes wretched, and when He honors, He makes them joyful.
