Revelation — Chapter 13

This is the Zohar's concept of the Sar (Prince) of a nation — the spiritual entity that governs through human institutions (Zohar II:108b). The speaking image is the ultimate counterfeit — a golem of the Sitra Achra, mimicking the Creator's signature act. This is the anti-Genesis: "And the image spoke."

• "He causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads" — the Zohar teaches that the mark (reshimu) of the Beast is the anti-seal — the counterpart to the divine seal on the foreheads of the 144,000. The right hand corresponds to Chesed corrupted; the forehead corresponds to Da'at corrupted. Receiving this mark connects the soul's spiritual wiring to the Sitra Achra's grid instead of the Sefirot's (Zohar III:228a). The choice is which network to be wired into.

• "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast" — the Zohar teaches that the number 666 corresponds to the six directions of space (the six Sefirot of Zeir Anpin) each multiplied by itself in the realm of impurity: a perfect material structure with no spiritual center.
